[TRANS] 110903 Malaysia Newspaper: JYJ is the Symbol of Determined Youth

JENTAYU, patah sayap bertongkat paruh, patah paruh bertongkat siku, patah siku bertongkat dagu, patah dagu bertongkat kuku(T/N: It’s a quote from a poem about a mythical bird that roughly translated to, “JENTAYU, broken wings, beak as its cane (to support itself) / broken beak, elbow as its cane / broken elbow, chin as its cane / broken chin, nail as its cane.” It basically mean how the bird keep on going with his life even after losing one thing after another or after going through so much hardship. More info on the song/poem here) – Sheila Majid and Nora (Malaysian artist) song lyrics that was taken from a poem by the late National Literary Usman Awang suddenly cross my mind when I thought of JYJ.

As a writer, this three man ~ Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu ~ is a symbol of youth that is determine & never give up.

Despite facing various obstacles and confinement in their singing career since leaving DBSK in 2009 - including the ‘cancelled’ appearance at the final moments for television and stage performance - they never lose hope!

And the result, their talent is recognized by various parties in the South Korean entertainment industry.

Park Yoochun was recently voted Most Popular Actor at Seoul Drama Award 2011, defeating 115 other candidates with 480,000 votes.

He who starred in the KBS drama, Sungkyunkwan Scandal last year has already won the Best Newcomer Award, Netizens Award and Best Couple Award.

This year, Yoochun return as the main character in the MBC drama, Miss Ripley along side Lee Da Hae.

While Kim Junsu also shine as a stage performer through musical teater hit such as Mozart! and Tears Of Heaven.

Meanwhile the multi talented Kim Jaejoong not only acted in a Japanese drama, Hard To Say I Love You, he even directed the JYJ Worldwide Concert 2011 from Asia to North America.

For the time being, the appearance in the SBS drama that’s currently being aired, Protect The Boss, although not as a hero (main lead), receive many praised.

Their hard work as a group that’s does not just rely on good looks are worth it when JYJ’s popularity now expand to the United States, they even have the chance to work together with Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins for their album.

This fighting spirit is what that’s admired by their fans and maybe Malaysian artist should learn from them!
